When I look around I see how money destroys people’s lives. It’s as though it creeps into the human system like a thief in the night and then starts eating away like a cancer into the very core of the human value system.
I don’t dispute the fact that all of us need money to survive in this world but in reality how much do we need?? Coz the way I see it the more money people have the more they want.
Some people even tend to have the perception that money can buy you anything. I don’t agree with such people coz to me it seems a very shallow way of thinking. Happiness and love which are some of the most magnificent gifts in life can not be bought.
Some parents work really hard to earn lots of money to give their kids every luxury in life. But at the end of the day what’s the use of it all?? Those parents will only be able to provide materialistically for their kids which is simply NOT ENOUGH. Children need much more by way of love, affection and not forgetting the most important on the list Time.
In my eyes it seems as though money has been the ruination to everything in life, specially the human value system….. What do you think???

I have to agree with that some what. Even though it is not the root, it is the most evil thing exists in the world so far.
//LACK of money is the root of all evil :) //that is bloody evil. Indeed
Money is not the root of evil. Money is a great system humans ever invented.
By the way I don’t think there are any roots to evil. Evil is just different to goodness. For goodness to exist, evil must exist too.
For me, I want to earn a sufficient amount to maintain my life style. Each ones lifestyle will differ from person to person.... so the amount needed, and the way you go about collecting it will be different...
Religion: not everyone who does 'not have a religion' is bad (or good); not everyone who 'has a religion' is good (or bad)- boils down to whether he/she believes in hurting other people under what ever pretext... a
women require time and money therefore;
women = time * money
Time is Money therefore;
Time = money
and;
Women = Money (squared)
Money is the root of all evil
Therefore;
Money (squared) = evil
From above;
women = money (squared)
Therefore;
Women = evil
(ok so they may not be the root of all evil, but evil nonetheless.)

Darwin I don’t agree with you at all. How on earth can religion is the root of all evil??? (care to explain your theory) Gosh Sam, on what basis do you agree with Darwin??? And what did Richard Dawkins say??? “(Im blank on that one)
-----------------
Ya Sam, money is a good system, but acquiring too much of money is when evil sets in….
-----------------
Mahisha, ya I guess a person’s attitude too can play a big role in the existence of evil. But what I don’t get is how it can be applied to religion? (Of all things Religion)

Hey Anonymous, why don’t you sign off with a pen name? (any name that you want to be identified with) . That’s just a suggestion, coz many people can leave a comment with the name “Anonymous” and then there’s no knowing who is who.
-----------------
Gosh ddm, you sound like your obsessed with maths……... errr!!! I have no mathematical formulas for that one. But I do not agree with it at all.
-----------------
Gosh Dark Horse you sure have a very good argument there. And I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with it.

Hey Parthi, nice to hear from you. Hmmm that’s strange that kottu couldn’t get a feed from the blogsome server… anyway good to hear that you are still aboard kottu. Btw hope that life is treating you better. Take care.
Most people want to 'belong' to something, and as a result they would follow what they are told to follow. even in married life, if they were to strictly adhere to some religious leaders, it would cause a lot of problems esp with regard to contraception.
IMO:No one should be allowed to force their view on the other - that is evil - making other's live their life, the way so-called leaders want them to....
Now I get what you were trying to say and I should say it makes a lot of sense.
I don’t mean to display my ignorance but what does “IMO:” mean??? Does it mean something like “In My Opinion”???
And does “Kudos” mean something like congrats or similar meaning??? :)
By the way if time permits I won’t mind if you can share some/all of the short acronyms that you know like IMO….. coz I hardly know any :)
kudos: praise
IMO: correct ;)
IMHO: in my humble opinion
ETA: estimated time of arrival (my favourite!)
FYI: for your information
TBD: to be done
WIP: work in progress
WPB: waste paper basket - I used a long long time ago when speaking with my first employer... it was, so very funny having to explain it to him and argue for it!
CYA: Cover your ass - Uhm, not meant in any sort of 'bad' way - but to ask people to put 'disclaimers' about certain expressed opinions (sometimes for legal reasons) and to cover themselves from certain accusations...
that is all... :)
